This
is Simon's Who What Where sheet.
This
sheet was developed over a couple of sessions, with our consultant, Nola
Marriner, Ph.D. This sheet is done with Simon in the morning.
It is used to encourage a conversation of sorts. His part of the
conversation may only be, yes, no, or another single word. It is
used to help Simon know what will happen in a day. It is used when
a day may be particularly difficult for Simon. He can say what he
wants, I can say what I want...
and
Simon is apt to be more flexible. Simon can also tell me what is
coming next when I ask him. On Simon's worst day, he can still participate
in this activity.
At the
end of the day, Simon types from his Who What Where sheet using Write Out
Loud. These two sheets together, make up Simon's journal.
Simon
is currently using Writing With Symbols 2000 from Mayer-Johnson.
He loves it, loves it, loves it. I cannot put in pictures fast enough.
I must make two or more social stories a day with this software, it is
very useful. Simon has also collected every single
Who
What Where ever made and retyped them with WWS2000. I have six or
seven full two inch binders!
This is Simon's schedule. I do not recommend keeping the icons in plastic containers with lids. Another board on the wall with the icons in sight and reach is more practical.
This
calendar for ACAP was made with Calendar Creator Plus.
Simon
'schedules' in a sequence kind of way. He can read a digital clock/watch
now, and will pay attention to what time someone is coming, for instance.
But for years, he worked on what comes next. He does not use the
TEACCH 'all done' or 'finished', which is something useful for many.

Right
click on a picture you want to keep, and when the box pops up, save as,
and save the picture to your own hard drive.
